St. George Marathon shirts

Okay, I know we have gone on and on about the design ideas for the t-shirts. As of today, there is a possibility that we may no longer be getting our shirts through the SL Running Co.  I have a friend that prints and designs shirts for a living, and he has offered to do a complete order for our family at a total wholesale cost. There are unlimited colors and shirts (performance, therma-wick material, AND cotton t's for the kids and adults who are not running)  The printed cotton shirts will run about $3 to $4 each, and the performance shirts printed should be no more than $15 each. I originally came up with the idea of having our theme be "ROCKSTRONG" and Brooke has done a lot of work to incorporate that into a design. I know that Mikin came up with something, but I was unable to pull up the attachment on my computer. Here is MY IDEA of the shirt I think we should do. It is simple, AND it was approved by Dad more importantly.

I think that since so many of us have ideas, a good way for us to easily "get the picture" of what people think we should do, then draw it up, and post it on this blog.

Thanks!
Amber

Smith at Hospital

As cute as Hallie is with a broken leg I got the pictures of Smith for those of you who haven't seen him.

He faked a smile for one picture but he is really in a lot of pain. The metal contraption strapped to his knee has got to be difficult. But, I guess it's necessary. He said that he might go home tomorrow and will mostly need help with someone staying at his house for a while at a time to help him around. He cannot get in and out of bed without help. Elaine will have to help him several times a day so it would help if anyone can spend some time there to help him when he needs to get up and down.

Move over Smith

Hallie remains in serious condition following a motorcycle accident when she was hit by an oncoming vehicle. Her knee is completely dislocated and underwent surgery to have several band aids put on to secure her leg from falling off. A full recovery is anticipated following several follow up surgeries and physical therapy. Her doctor, JD Eggett is shown below administering to the patient.

Does anyone know how long Smith will be in the hospital?

Bells Palsy

This photo may look like Chad is just doing one of his goofy faces but this is actually a documentaion of his Bells Palsy (I don't know how to spell it). Bells Palsy is when half of your facial muscles are completely paralized. We don't really know what causes it but it can last for several months. Chad cannot move the right side of his face. He can't blink his right eye, which causes dryness and irritation and eye watering. He cannot smile or eat well on that side and even has a runny nose on his right side. It's really kind of difficult for him. It's even noticable when he talks that he can't move his lips right. He can't pronounce some words correctly. It's been difficult for him.

I hesitated to put this picture on here but I just thought there were some of you who didn't see him and don't understand what it is like. I think Chad will be ok with it because this picture doesn't look too bad. But, I'm sure Smith would rather have Bells Palsy right now. I am so sorry that Smith is going through this with his accident!

THE GRASSHOPPER HUNT

FUN FAMILY

BEN AND LISA

PICNIC AT THE PARK

BEN'S BAPTISM

Welcome!

Okay everyone, this is called a blog (for those of you who just don't get it). Everyone in the family gets to help make this our blog. Don't worry, we'll make it private for our fam only!

Why have a blog? Does anyone else's spouse get bugged about getting 25 emails within our family on one day? Ok, mine does, and I know he's not the only one. This can be a fun way for us to keep in touch.

:)

Go ahead.... Post something!

4th of July weekend

Here are some pictures of the 4th of July weekend that I took (including Ben's baptism).
